In 1972 Brian Righi was born in Stuttgart, Germany to American parents serving overseas in the Armed Forces. After traveling throughout Europe for a time his family moved back to the United States and settled in the Midwest where he spent most of his childhood. Following college at DePaul University where he graduated with degrees in English and Sociology he headed west to the great state of Texas where he now lives with his beautiful wife, Angela and his favorite cocker spaniel, Madison. He currently travels throughout the United States and Europe writing on various topics and lecturing about his craft and life experinces. In 2009 he completed a solo kayaking expedition down the entire length of the Mississippi River and after many adventures returned home safely to his family.
